Evening Will Find You
by Douglas Piccinnini

Hey, apeitheia–
Cape of a clear, warm blue wave.
Darkness sees a way.

Looking for new “life”
The corpse of yesterday sings
Which eternal wine?

Planet, a mass grave.
Incomprehensible mercy.
Sufferable beauty.

Each planned oblivion.
A blizzard of steaming tears.
Eternity is an idea.

Douglas Piccinnini
